About SYA

Stateline Youth Athletics (SYA) will hold its inaugural season in 2008.  Formed by Roscoe Youth Baseball Association, Rockton Youth Association, and South Beloit Youth Association, SYA has set forth a goal of teaching our children the game of real baseball/softball beginning with the fundamentals, and to pass on to our children our love of the great American Pastime. Our league is committed to balanced teams and fair play.  We expect our coaches, players, and fans to adhere to our Code of Conduct at all times. We are committed volunteers and recognize the hard work that goes into a quality youth sports program.

PONY Baseball  (PONY = Protect Our Nation's Youth) and ASA Softball provide for flexible rules that make sense for each age group. Base lengths are designed to target the physical maturity and safety requirements for each age group and the rules of baseball are introduced in incremental steps such that the full game of real baseball is attained by the 11/12 year old "Bronco" Division. Read about our age specific divisions.

PONY Baseball and ASA Softball also offer the opportunity to participate in local, regional, and national post season tournaments.

We're happy to answer any questions you may have. Check out the history of PONY Baseball in America or look up some of the more than 375 major league players who are alumni of PONY Baseball. Go to the Directors page and find out who we are. Email us your question.

We look forward to seeing you in an upcoming season.
